Torcán recently performed at the prestigious Cork Opera House and Kilworth Arts Center and gigs weekly at the South County Bar in Douglas. Not your average session band, Torcán's fresh take on Irish music combines Traditional tunes, adaptations of classical pieces with many original compositions for a unique sound and unfortgettable show.
Popular at home in Cork and abroad, Torcán's music has led them to high profile venues such as Cork Opera House, Kilworth Arts Center, Karagöz Folk Dance Festival in Turkey, IMRO Trad Music Showcase at the Temple Bar TradFest, Culture Night in Cork at the English Market, Folk Festivals in Dublin, Cork and Waterford, and special appearances on The Apprentice (Irish TV series) and Balcony TV Cork. Their live EP includes original compositions as well as traditional and world music influences.
